TAMPA -- Chris Leak, who quarterbacked the Florida Gators to the national championship in January, will make his first-ever public autograph appearance on Saturday, March 31, from 1 to 3 p.m., at Palm Beach Autographs in the Avenues Mall in Jacksonville.
Autograph tickets may be purchased in advance by calling (904) 464-0052, or at Palm Beach Autographs (www.PalmBeachAutographs.com) at its new location across from Football Fanatics near the Food Court of the Avenues Mall.
“We are proud to give fellow Gator fans the opportunity to meet Chris Leak at the grand re-opening of our store,” said Steve Dodson, co-founder of Palm Beach Autographs with his brother Jim, both University of Florida alumni.
“Since returning to Florida from the BCS championship game in Arizona, we have been working towards bringing in every graduating member from the championship team,” said Jim Dodson. “We hope that all Gator fans will join us to celebrate our victory with Chris Leak-- and a special surprise guest!”
Sixteen other members of the 2006 National Championship Gators, including Dallas Baker, Earl Everett, Ray McDonald, Jarvis Moss, Reggie Nelson, Brandon Siler, Ryan Smith, and Deshawn Wynn have made public appearances at Palm Beach Autographs' Jacksonville store. Coach Urban Meyer, and four other players, have completed private signings with Palm Beach Autographs in Gainesville.
Official 2006 Florida Gators Championship items will be available at the signing. Team signed helmets, footballs, and photographs from all previous signings will be on sale as well. Customers are welcome to bring their own items for Chris Leak to sign. If you can’t attend the event, Palm Beach Autographs will gladly handle special requests.
