Bears Sign TE Clark To Extension



The Chicago Bears signed tight end Desmond Clark to a two-year contract extension Sunday.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the deal extends Clark's contract through the 2010 season.

Clark has totaled 181 receptions for 2,115 yards and 15 touchdowns since joining Chicago in 2003. Over the last two seasons, his 13.2 yards per catch is highest among NFL tight ends.

A veteran of nine NFL seasons with Denver (1999-2001), Miami (2002) and the Bears, the former Wake Forest standout has 262 career catches for 3,067 yards and 24 touchdowns.
